GUIDLINES FOR "WOMEN'S EDUCATION CLASS"
PURPOSE--To offer education and support for individuals in abusive relationships. This class is non-denominational, all faiths are invited. St Grancis is not a sponsor but graciously allows us to use theri building. We are asked not to bring food or drink into the building and must end our class at 8:30. There is no fee to attend.
Advocates in this meeting are volunteers working under the auspices of Diane Anderson, the abuse advocate at the Lehi Police Station. We act as facilitators. Suggestions will be given for professional counselors, police intervention and community resources. Anonymity is extremely important. Many individuals who attend do not want to be indentified. This means not revealing whom we see and what they might say about their personal lives.
